Role Within the Project
Nature's Little Mistake is an abnormal Rogue–Like that plunges you into a layered alien waste world where biological mistakes crawl from the decay and muck to take your limbs for themselves. Beat them to it and monger appendages because you are only as powerful as the sum of your parts!

I had the main role of Lead Programmer for the project with 3 programmers working with me

I created a procedural-level generation system for this project, and although it was scrapped I created the current system as well.

Alongside the vision of the director, I programmed many of the enemies which continued to change through the diuration of the project

I worked alongside the other game designers to program the player's attacks for each item to match our ideas. This includes a range of different weapon types such as shotguns, snipers, explosions, etc.

I created all the particle systems in Unity using the assets created by the art team for all environmental, enemy, and player VFX.

Created the item class system for the game and the system in which the item data translates to the player attacks. This had to be a dynamic system as the player switches items at a moment's notice depending on their situation.

Using Unity's inbuilt post-processing I created vignettes and chromatic aberration for the game.

I worked collaboratively with the director, art team, and programming team to develop the mechanics, gameplay loop, and overall design for the game.

As Lead Programmer I kept our game design documentation up to date with the latest information about the game and its development and worked with the producers to keep this information up to date.
